Why does he never once ask why grown adults are manhandling a little girl who keeps calling him daddy, right before a conveniently older 'Ellie' appears

Why would the father take the fake daughter and not the real one. I don't understand this man.

A billionaire doesn't visit his wife for four years, never checks on his kid, then can't tell a starved four-year-old from a coached six-year-old. One DNA test ends the whole plot. Emotional blackmail dressed up as drama.

The little girl's performance is genuinely brilliant and deserves a far better script. Everyone else is either an angel or cartoonishly evil, no in-between.

The dad falls for the most obvious child swap imaginable while his actual daughter cries right in front of him. Effective tearjerker, infuriating logic.

He picks the fake Ellie, treats her like a princess, and ignores his actual daughter to her face. This man does not deserve a kid.
