The lead is directed to smirk through every line as if that's a personality, and the soul-fragment plot is dropped and picked back up whenever the script needs it. Not campy enough to be fun, not competent enough to work.

The lead actor carries this entirely. Take him out and it's a below-average short with continuity mistakes, he gets bottled on the back of the head and the cut shows up on his forehead.

The first half is a proper climb — she clears one task after another and keeps moving up. Then the back half unpacks his identity and backstory, and she quietly becomes a side character in her own show. His behavior gets inconsistent too. Strong start, weak finish
The cop's-daughter-and-gang-leader angle gives every scene a built-in cost, and the show actually uses it instead of forgetting halfway. High heat, but the tension comes from what they stand to lose, not just the chemistry. The father subplot is what pushes it above the usual bad-boy fare.
