Ring Ring! Future Daughter on the Line

Male lead Zhang Yan-yu is an actor I'd never seen before and WHY is he this handsome, every time his tears fell, mine did too. From episode 18 on it's just so sad... I'd heard it was a sad ending but watched the whole thing going 'no way, no way it is,' and it WAS a sad ending ㅠㅠ Ugly-cried for the first time in ages. ㅠㅠ But sad as it is, it's genuinely so well made. If you're okay with a sad ending, watch it. Truly recommend recommend!!!

Office romance. A boss and secretary who couldn't be more opposite~ Wild to see Go Woo-ri from Rainbow in this. Feels like short dramas are pulling in a lot of ex-idol actors these days. The story was just so-so, though. Your standard, predictable office romance.

A male lead who couldn't forget his first love and literally became a doctor for her, reuniting after 10 years... I braced myself for a sob-fest, but it's got way more warm and cute moments than expected — so I got even MORE hooked!! But don't let your guard down... you'll end up crying by the end, so keep some tissues ready 😭

She transmigrated as the villainess, only to find out this guy is the most pitiful person in the world... Abused his whole life, never loved even once — watching him slowly melt into her warmth absolutely breaks my heart 😭 And they only finally make it in their third lifetime... A man who clings to her last words and spends his whole life calling out only for her — I genuinely can't hold back the tears 😭

Yoon Hyun-min AND Jung Hye-sung in a short-form drama?! And director Lee Jung-seob behind the camera. Two people meet through secondhand trading to swap their ex-wife's and ex-boyfriend's stuff, and as they share how they're getting over their breakups, they learn to stand on their own, a single-people story. The villain junior boyfriend approaching the heroine for a project, though... yeah, that part was a bit much.

Rebirth + fake contract + hidden identity + a mask. A gift basket stuffed with every short-drama cliche in the book. Ak Woo-jung's acting, though, is flawless.

A secret baby, a reunion, even amnesia, this one piles on every short-drama cliché in the book.

I think this is the best of the Korean BLs. First off, BL is love, period. Both male leads are so good-looking that the whole watch was a blast, a real recommend. The leads are smart, handsome, and just overflowing with charm.

Searched this out because Kim Han-young's in it. It's supernatural fantasy, so the fantasy nerds will eat it up. Kim Han-young grows a tail. It mashes up a beast-tamer/eccentric-girl story with gumiho fantasy. But... something's just missing.

Shiyue shi directed this. In short drama, that name is the cinematography. Enough said.

Falls into a lake but time-slips into a bathtub, what a funny setup~ The male lead does a little sword demo and I got a faint Chen Xi vibe there~ just my opinion. So I looked him up, turns out he's Chu Young-woo's younger brother~ The acting's not bad, but it's not wildly fun either. Time-slip from the Joseon era!!!

Leans hard into the romance-slash-human-drama vibe built around a doctor and the female lead, with 'my son's physician' being the special thread that ties them together. Responsibility toward family and love flow naturally into romance. It's just so-so.

Three lifetimes, and they still find their way back to each other. Body-swaps and rebirths, all melted down into one aching love story.

Pretty sure I've watched this 3 times. Both leads are good-looking and it's watchable. The eye makeup bugged me a little, though..

A fast-paced story packing in the friendship, betrayal, love, and coming-of-age that teens go through. Best part is that our lead Yoo Je-ni, who's got a real backbone, doesn't just sit there as a victim, she goes on air to expose the truth and fights her way through it. Worth a watch~ ^ ^

This one's been a short-drama gateway classic since way back.

Seven years of unspoken feelings, built without a single grand gesture. A quiet record of first love, the kind that lingers.
