Her Last Defiance

Xie Duo kept Lin Sangwan for ten years. The terms were his and he ran the arrangement as he liked, without asking her about any of it. Lin Sangwan hated him for that. She had feelings for him and she held them down, and she fought the keeping itself the whole ten years. Xie Duo was cold with her and never worked out that he loved her. Then she was gone from his life altogether. Six years after that a child turned up in front of him with a face very close to his own. The woman who had never given in to him had borne a child to another man, and Xie Duo went to pieces over it more than once.
