You in My Memory

Emily Clark's half-sister set the trap. Sixteen years ago she arranged a night that put Emily in the bed of Alex Johnson, the richest man in Riverdale, and Emily came away from it carrying his child. Sixteen years later Emily comes back to Riverdale. An accident lands her in bed with a man she does not know, and it is Alex again, though neither of them recognises the other. Her son is by now seriously ill, and she begins trying to get close to Alex to save him. Alex takes her for a woman with an angle and keeps his guard up. They clash again and again, and one crisis follows another, while Emily keeps her memory of that first night shut away. He notices the butterfly-shaped birthmark on her shoulder. It is the same mark as the girl he saved that night sixteen years ago, and he has a DNA test run on the boy.
