Love for the Wrong Sister

Victoria Hartman's mother died giving birth to her. Her father favoured Isabelle, her half-sister, and Victoria was left to herself in the house. When she was grown her father sent her to the army camp, where the fighting was real and she nearly died more than once. She met Lucas Ashford there and came to love him, and he did not return it. Later she found out two things about him. He was the crown prince, and he had come near her in the first place in order to keep Isabelle safe. Victoria then agreed to a marriage arranged to hold the peace between two states. Lucas understood by then what he had wanted, and it was after the arrangement was made.
