Forbidden Allure

Alexis needs a large sum of money to keep someone alive. She had been at the top of the profession as a lawyer and lost the position and her money with it, so the sum is beyond anything she can now earn. Evan offers to pay it. He was pushed out of a wealthy family and wants a way back up through the fight going on inside it, and his payment comes with conditions. Alexis is to be placed in the middle of that fight on his side, working as his spy in the family business and his lover out of sight. He sets her four tasks: get inside, poison, seduce, and end things with his third brother. She takes the deal. Neither of them was supposed to fall for the other, and they meet at the wrong time and it happens anyway, with the four tasks still running and both of them accumulating things they cannot undo.
