She works as assistant to the man who runs the company. He does not know she has liked him since they were children, when she was fat and stayed out of his way, and nothing about her face now points back to that girl. They spend a night together. She keeps quiet about who she was, because she expects him to want nothing more to do with her once he knows. Then she is pregnant, and what everyone makes of the pregnancy is wrong in several directions before she tells him herself. She had also been tricked into an arranged marriage as an adult. Someone else has since taken over her name and her place, and that woman wants her dead. There is pressure on him to give up his wife, and he refuses to. A date is set for the divorce.
