Half-awake

Fifteen years ago something happened that Gu Yixiao understood wrongly, and he has been paying Ye Xingwan back for it ever since. He runs a business empire and has a reputation for cruelty, and the only crack in it is his secretary. He arranges the situations she has to live inside, keeping her close so he can go on punishing her. Ye Xingwan looks soft and for a long time she takes it. Then she stops. She uses the arrangement against him, offering herself as the bait, and lets him fall into a tangle where the wanting and the hating run together. Gu Yixiao comes to regret what he did, and Ye Xingwan is there to see the beginning of it.
