The Sun Beyond Two Lifetimes

Yun Xi and Xuan Heng met by chance at a Buddhist temple, brought together by a small bird, and fell in love. What they wanted was to stay together, and they could not. Yun Xi was taken into the imperial palace as a concubine against her will. Xuan Heng tried to get her out, was accused of a crime he had not committed, and was executed. Yun Xi followed him. Their two jade pendants came together in the fire, and both were born again. In the modern world Yun Xi is Qin Xi, who draws comics, and Xuan Heng is Chu Heng, who runs a company. They were betrothed to each other as children, which is how they meet again. They fall in love a second time. When the matching pendants are brought together, the memories of the first life come back, and the two of them have to deal with what was left unfinished across both lives.
