I Wish You Knew

Yun Xiang, a gentle 14-year-old girl longing for a warm family, is adopted into the Cheng family after a family tragedy and becomes a “sister” to Cheng Che, who is as old as her. Cheng Che is cold and distant, having grown up under the shadow of his parents’ divorce, and he views Yun Xiang’s sudden entrance into his life with hostility. The story begins with Yun Xiang moving into the Cheng household. Despite facing Cheng Che’s cold stares and rejection, she works hard to adapt to her new environment, hoping to become part of this family. Cheng Che, sensitive about family matters and aware of his mother’s possessive attention toward him, feels threatened by Yun Xiang’s presence, fearing she might take away the only love he receives from his mother. As a result, he treats Yun Xiang with deliberate coldness and keeps his distance, even avoiding her at school.
