Unbridled

Suzie Johnston dies and wakes up back in the world she left, and works out that the world is a script. It is a cruel one, and her part in it is the character everything bad is done to. The misfortunes are not accidents; a screenwriter put them there. Suzie decides to go find the screenwriter and take the pen. She also goes looking for Felix Yates, the boy she loved before she died, who happens to be the male lead of the drama she is trapped in. Felix is gentle with her, attentive in a way nobody in the script was meant to be, and what starts between them is closer to a fairy tale than to anything the story had planned. He helps her get out from under the arrangements made for her, and she starts wanting to be alive again. The obstacles keep coming, since the script keeps writing them, and the two of them get through them side by side. Piece by piece Suzie pulls her own fate loose from the writer's hands.
