Undercurrent

Shen Yuwei was a star architecture student and she and Lu Xiaohan were the couple everyone at university envied. Then Lu Xiaohan's half brother assaulted her and used his position to force her into marrying him. Lu Xiaohan, believing she had turned on him for being born outside the marriage, left the country carrying that. Shen Yuwei found out soon after that she was pregnant with his child, and raised the boy quietly. Years pass. The elder brother is killed in a car crash and Lu Xiaohan comes back at the head of the company, cold and harder to read than the man she knew. In front of everyone he treats the widow of his brother with indifference and lets her take what the family gives her, while behind it he keeps her covered.
