I Went for Money, Found Love

The Fox Spirit Emporium keeps fox spirits at every level of cultivation, and every one of them trades in romance and seduction for its clients. Jin Xian is the only male fox there and the only one who went crooked in his training. He deals strictly in sudden wealth and turns down anything to do with love or desire. Jiang Ci comes to him not long after a relationship ended badly. Her view by then is settled: affection is a consumable, it runs out, and the only thing that will not betray her is money she is holding herself. So she wants what he sells, and he is willing to sell it. What follows runs through the city, through the business of getting rich fast and what people are prepared to hand over for it, and through the two words the shop's whole trade rests on, money and want.
