Mistborne Echoes

Xue Mengyao wants to undo the massacre of the Xue family, and it happened ninety years ago. Her great-grandfather Xue Dingyi was a young marshal in the Republic era. On the day his engagement to Governor Zhang's daughter was settled, Governor Zhang and his adjutant Cui Xiaojia killed him, and the rest of the household was wiped out with him. The one survivor was her grandfather Xue Xiaoliang, a small boy at the time, who was disabled for the rest of his life. The family went into decline after that. Then, by accident, Xue Mengyao is sent back ninety years, with her present-day memories intact and the jade pendant the family has handed down, and finds Xue Dingyi young and alive. The first thing she does is go to him and warn him about Governor Zhang's plan. She says it too forcefully, nobody there knows who she is, and she is taken for a madwoman.
