Phoenix Returns: The Indifferent King’s Beloved Forensic Concubine

A forensic doctor from the present day, known for her autopsy work, wakes up in an ancient dynasty as the consort of a prince. She has a scalpel with her, and she uses it the way she did before, opening the dead to find out how they died. The cases she handles inside the palace close one after another, and what the bodies tell her points to a larger plot in the court. The prince is cold toward women and at first treats her the same way. Her work on the corpses is what begins to change that. She goes on taking cases while the intrigues inside the palace, some of them deadly, continue around her.
