Love as Therapy: His Obsession, Her Surrender

Julian Wright runs a company his uncle would very much like to take from him, and he has a psychological disorder that his uncle could use as the lever to do it. His doctor recommends exposure therapy, which means putting himself deliberately in contact with the thing he cannot tolerate rather than arranging his life around avoiding it. The person he ends up using for this is Camila Connell, a nurse. Julian pursues her with none of the subtlety the situation calls for, turning up where she works, refusing to be discouraged, treating her presence as a prescription he has been told to fill. Camila has a job and a life that did not previously involve a wealthy man appearing in it at all hours. Their schedules tangle, then their households, and the treatment stops being something Julian controls. The situations they land in are ridiculous more often than they are dignified, and somewhere in the middle of them Julian's uncle is still counting the days until the company changes hands.
