Go Prodigy: Fight for Clearview

A man who calls himself the Chess Demon needs one thing: his wife is being held by the Chess King, the only person who knows what happened to their missing son, and to get her back he needs someone who can beat the King at go in front of everyone. So he goes through the city challenging players, and the wager he sets is their fingers. Liam Ellis is eight, and good enough at go that his master, a former go saint, has forbidden him to touch a board for three years. He comes down from the mountain to look for his parents and finds his senior sister staging an attack on her own chess club, which she is doing to keep everyone away from the man taking fingers. The challenger arrives, she loses game after game, and Liam breaks the ban to step in. He wins three in a row and beats the man down completely, and the man kneels and begs him to help save his wife. Liam refuses at first, then hears that the man lost a child and his family, and changes his mind. After the final match against the Chess King, the King says who Liam is: the son that the Chess Demon and his wife lost nine years ago.
