The SSS Monkey King Awakens

The apocalypse arrives on a fixed date and mutates everything alive. Some people are marked with tattoos that wake up as powers when it hits. Mark Yellen went through it once already. His fiancee Aliya Jermyn betrayed him and a mutant beast ate him, and then he opened his eyes again one month before the world ended, carrying everything he remembered. He sells off his assets and puts the money into a gold fortress, has ten forbidden tattoos inked on himself, and gathers people into a squad for what is coming. When the date arrives and the mutations start worldwide, the tattoos wake and he leads the squad against the people who crossed him the first time round. He sets up a safe base and fights the mutated beasts, and the factions of people who turn out to be worse.
