My Farmer Dad Is Secretly an Archmage

Eden Thorne grows pumpkins. His son Garrett has fought his way up to Knight Paramount, takes him for a country bumpkin and is ashamed of him. 'Go back to the field, Father.' What Garrett does not know is that Eden is the Oracle Mentor, the mage who defeated the Dark Lord twenty years ago and has lived as a peasant since, and that what he has been guarding all this time is the seal to the underworld. The Dark Lord is coming back. Eden goes to the capital to protect the kingdom of Vern, and the nobles there take him for a beggar. Between the auctions and the banquets the politics of the court get sharper as the demon army gathers. When it attacks, the disguise falls, and Eden ends that fight with one blow. Garrett stands by his father once he knows who he is. The mages of the kingdom join together to defend it. Several people at court who have been hiding who they are come out with it, and alliances form for the battle that is coming.
