Trust No Shadow

A wrong number in the middle of the night puts Leo Shaw, a wealthy and withdrawn doctor, on the line with Mia Leed, and he cannot leave her alone afterward. Mia is a college student with no money. Her father was paralyzed in a car accident, and the medical bills ran past what her part-time work could cover. One unpaid bill was enough to break her, and Leo was the one who turned up with the money. Leo's fiancée, Molly Quimby, comes back and finds him occupied with another woman. She decides to get rid of Mia. Ben Judd, polite and well-mannered in company, is working an agenda of his own. Between the money and the scheming, Mia works out that Leo is the only one of them she can trust.
