Love lost on Ice

Isolde wants Kaelen for herself. When he proposes to Lia on the ice at the rink, Isolde drives her car at Lia, and Kaelen is badly hurt getting her out of the way. He needs a kidney, and Lia gives him one of hers. While he is still unconscious Isolde writes a cruel farewell letter in Lia's name and uses it to force her out. Kaelen wakes up to the letter and believes Lia walked out on him. Lia by then has been told she has leukemia, and she leaves for Switzerland. Five years pass. Kaelen has become one of the biggest names in hockey. Lia comes back with debts she cannot pay and takes work as a chauffeur, and when she turns up in front of him he takes her for a woman after his money. He hires her as his personal assistant so that he can humiliate her every day, and she puts up with it without a word. Isolde is still close to him, and treats Lia worse than he does.
