Synopsis

Kai's royal family threw him into the ocean when he was a child. He survived and became the God of Tides, without telling anyone who he was. Years later he came back to the pirate kingdom in disguise. The kingdom was under siege by then. He set about saving the family that had discarded him, including a father who still called him worthless.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
