Synopsis

Lord Julian Thornfield burns Adeline’s village, turns her into a vampire, and forces her to become his dead wife’s replacement. Even his daughter, Eve, calls her “Mama.” When Adeline tries to die, Eve’s strange power hurls them a hundred years into the past. There, Julian is not a cruel lord yet. He is a scarred human slave in a circus cage, whipped as a monster. Adeline only wants to hand Eve back and escape, but the child’s broken heart ties her to them both. Then the caged man asks who she is, and Adeline answers, “I’m your future wife.”

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
