All My Life, Only For You

The woman Wyatt Howe comes to want is Freya Rose, who is married to Riley Hill, his oldest friend, and much younger than either of them. Wyatt has only just retired when he goes to visit. Freya has given birth not long before and is still in her confinement month, so Riley asks him to stay in the house and help with her and the baby. Under one roof they scrape against each other over small household things, and the feeling grows anyway without either of them putting a name to it. Wyatt stays on and does what he was asked to do. Then Riley dies, and Freya has nobody but Wyatt to lean on.
