Synopsis

To break the curse of the Crown of the Black Tide, Alphonse Crowe, the former Pirate King living under a false name, escorts Aria Lothian in search of the sunken city of Nelsora. Along the way, he battles a dark god, unravels the Empire's conspiracy, and reunites with the ghosts of his old crew. Making peace with the past, he finds his redemption at last, and sets sail on a new course with the two women at his side.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
