My Son, My Second Chance
Synopsis
At eighteen Xavier Gibson believed a lie his father Bryant told him about his mother, and he sided with Bryant and his stepmother in throwing her out of the house. Later he saw what the two of them were really like. His stepmother stabbed him, and he died on his mother's back, wishing he could do it over and treat her properly. He wakes up a year earlier. A Redemption System has attached itself to him. Every 1 yuan he spends on his mother comes back as 10, and each time he makes her happy he gets a lottery draw. He breaks open his piggy bank and spends it on a silk dress for her. Then he pushes her to divorce Bryant, and she does. The lottery draws give him things like all-round fighting ability and golden eyes that see through things. With the money and the skills he backs his mother in going back to her old field, biopharmaceuticals. She founds a biotech company, and he pulls Bryant's core research team over to it. The company develops a reagent that clears blood clots and wins a 100-million-yuan order from a medical group, and his mother becomes president of a branch. Bryant, the stepmother, and relatives who favor Bryant keep interfering. Xavier cuts in at a car showroom and takes the luxury car Bryant had picked out. He digs gold ingots out of a wall in the old family house. At an antiques auction he picks up the original manuscript of the last forty chapters of Story of the Stone and donates it. He also finds out his mother was born a daughter of the Yates family, the richest family in the country, and she takes the name Willow Yates.

Ratings & Reviews

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<
