When My Children Became His Pretend Heirs

Synopsis

Juliana sells roasted sweet potatoes for a living and is raising two children, Bella and Blake, by herself. She runs into Percival by chance. His grandfather Murphy has been pressing him to marry and give the Shi family an heir, and to get Murphy to stop, Percival asks Juliana to let Bella and Blake pass as his own children. Juliana had met Percival once before, six years earlier. She was living with her adoptive mother then, the two of them getting by with no one else, and somebody set her up so that she ended up in his room. They slept together and parted without either of them learning who the other was.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
