A Baby's Adventure and A Wife's Awakening

A god who has lost her place can earn it back by accumulating good deeds among mortals. That is the arrangement the nine-tailed spirit fox is under when she is reborn as a newborn baby. Her father calls her a demon child the moment she is born, and there is nothing an infant can do about it. Her mother turns out to be able to hear her thoughts. The two of them work with that. The child directs her mother against the father and against the mistress he keeps, and the two of them get at what he has been doing. The mother gets out from under him. The child, meanwhile, keeps accumulating deeds and becomes a star of good fortune.
