Covenant of Blood and Immortality

Kalen, an ancient vampire who has lived for over five hundred years, finds his regenerative immortality inexplicably failing after he saves Aila, a descendant of paladins; Aila’s unique bloodline holds the key to breaking the Dracula curse afflicting him. Meanwhile, Marcus—a vampire a millennium old—secretly orchestrates events to place Aila by Kalen’s side, intending to exploit the bond between them to complete a ritual that will resurrect his master, Dracula. Initially viewing Aila merely as a means to lift the curse, Kalen gradually finds himself moved by her kindness. Noah, Aila’s demon-hunter brother, is initially hostile toward Kalen due to the age-old feud between their kinds but chooses to ally with him after uncovering Marcus’s plot to frame him. The group eventually takes in Mia—Marcus’s daughter and a half-vampire—while Kalen’s loyal butler, Sebastian, provides steadfast support throughout their journey. As Marcus captures humans for the resurrection ritual and constantly schemes to sow discord within the alliance, Kalen and Aila forge a mutual blood pact, sharing their lifeblood and immortality. In the final confrontation, Marcus undergoes a sudden change of heart and sacrifices himself, allowing the duo to join forces and destroy the Progenitor, Dracula.
