Dear Mom

Evelyn Snyder watched her father kill her mother, Cora Kelly, in the course of his violence at home. She woke in 1996, just after her parents' wedding. She set out to get Cora divorced from him and remarried, so that the rest of Cora's life would go differently. While she was there she met William Jacobs, who was hiding that he was the heir of his family and was avoiding a marriage they had arranged for him. They fell in love. As Cora's due date came close, Evelyn understood she could not stay in 1996, and she left William. Nineteen years on she opened her eyes in the present. Cora was alive, out of the marriage, and living quietly. William was waiting for her.
