Driven to Power

Liam Wright was laid off and took work driving for a ride-hailing app to keep his family going. His daughter Lola was diagnosed with leukemia. His wife was seeing another man, and the bills kept coming. One night in Bellorive he pulled Constant Gougeon, chairman of the Gounova Group, out of a crushed car before it was too late. Gougeon took an interest in him, and Liam went to work inside the company. The Chenet family took credit for work he had done. Hector Gougeon moved against him, and a man named Chazot worked on him from another direction. Liam kept his head down, watched, and answered when he could. He had the other drivers and couriers on his side, and used them: in a storm he ran the antidote in from Nueville, and he looked after Garance Gougeon when she needed it. He worked his way up from the parking lots to the good part of the city.
