Back to My Empire

The city has a richest family, and the daughter of that family runs the Central Hospital. Her name is Verónica Vega, and for ten years she has been with Luca Giménez without telling him any of it. To keep his pride intact she hid where she came from, put her own money behind him under another name, and used her father's connections to move his surgical career along from behind. Luca called what he had with Suela Soto a brother-and-sister friendship. He was sleeping with her. She got pregnant, and he handed over the house that was meant to be his and Verónica's marital home. His family took his side and treated Verónica as beneath them. She gave up on him. After the breakup she takes apart the brother-and-sister story in public and turns down Luca when he comes back asking. She returns to the world she was born into and to her standing in surgery, and she runs into Alonso Gil, who has known her since they were children.
