Iris Clark works at a company and falls in love with Miles Walker, a junior employee from a poor family. Her family object to the marriage, and she talks them round until they agree to it. Three months after the wedding she wins a jackpot worth millions. She moves the money into her husband's account for safekeeping. Miles turns cold soon after.
