The Inheritance Game

Emma Lawson works as a social worker. She once met Jonathan Kingsley, a billionaire philanthropist, briefly. A prestigious law firm calls to tell her she is the heir to his fortune. The will has a condition: she must live for one year at Kingsley Manor with Jonathan's family, all of whom were left out of it. She moves in. The Kingsley children, with Victoria at the front of them, treat her as an intruder in the house. Their mother, once a Hollywood actress and fond of a scene, sees Emma as a threat to the way she lives. Between the betrayals and the maneuvering for position, the only company Emma finds tolerable is the youngest son, Alexander, who has the same contempt for the family's behavior that she does.
