The Dangerous Housewife

Lynn's rival in the collecting world wants her pieces. He arranges for a young secretary, Julie, to get close to Lynn's husband Raul, so that the marriage comes apart and the collection can be taken while Lynn is occupied with the affair. Lynn had been an appraiser before she stopped working and settled into life as a housewife, keeping the collection at home. Her best friend stayed in an unhappy marriage and made fun of Lynn behind her back for having told her to divorce. When Lynn found out about Raul and Julie, her first concern was what the split would cost her financially. She met Julie in person and could tell the girl was not an ordinary mistress. Lynn brought her son with her and showed him what his father was. In the same stretch of time she discovered the collection was gone, and that the affair had been staged around the theft. Julie had not been after money or position. She had been working for the rival, who then cut her out and took everything for himself. Lynn went to Julie and talked her into working together against him. Raul, meanwhile, went to prison.
