Karma Wears Heels

Vera's fiancé and her best friend take the design collection she has been working on and enter it under their own names in an international fashion design competition. They have also been sleeping together. Vera answers with a contract marriage to the head of a rival corporate group, who has reasons of his own for wanting the advantage. She is a designer near the top of her field, and after the quick wedding the two of them work well together. Financial moves, press coverage and a fight over the board send her ex-fiancé's company down fast, and it ends up bought by her husband's group for almost nothing. Somewhere in the middle of all this the arrangement between the two of them stops being only an arrangement.
