Outclassed and Loving It

After Jayden Larke died, his eldest brother's household and his third brother's household went after what he had left. They pushed his son and his older daughter out of any say in the company and were willing to do it over the funeral itself. Neither of the two could hold them off. Rowena was the youngest of the three and had not been born a Larke. She was put out on the street as a small child and nearly froze before Jayden took her in. Killian Maxwell, who expected disaster to come for the Larkes, took her away to train her, and she came back years later as the head of Solara. She had come home for the funeral. Once she saw what her brother and sister were living with, she called the board together, broke apart what the uncles had arranged, and took the chairmanship of the group. The eldest uncle's son then arranged the killing of the Dragon Palace's young master and put the blame on Rowena. She had installed cameras beforehand, and what they held sent him to prison. The third uncle's daughter tried next, with the son of a rival house helping her, and got nowhere. After that Rowena looked at her own older brother and did not like what she found, and she arranged three months in a cell for him.
