Trevor built New World, a simulation game meant to be more realistic than anything on the market. On the first day of the beta he planned to lead the human faction against the demons. A bug reversed his healing spells instead, and the reversed spells wiped out his entire team. The same bug locked him inside the game, on the demon side, where the players he built the game for now count him as the boss they have come to kill. His passive skill stays broken, turning every spell he casts into its opposite. His old business partner, still outside, has access to the servers and uses them to try to kill him at a distance. Guilds arrive in waves to invade Izera. A demon queen offers him a second profile, and an angel swordswoman cannot decide whether to save him or finish him. Trevor works the faults in his own code, the hidden achievements and the badly built dungeons, because they are the only advantage he has left.
