Treasure Hunter, Heartbreaker

Noah is beaten by antique dealers after he points out that the pieces they are selling are fakes. An old man he meets afterwards gives him the Golden Eye, sight that passes through objects and tells genuine antiques from copies. Around the same time he meets Melody, the daughter of a wealthy family in the provincial capital. Several successful appraisals make Noah money quickly. He then finds that his girlfriend Paula has taken up with Iker, the heir to a rich family, and he ends the relationship. Noah and Melody travel to a jade convention. On the road they are attacked by men Iker sent, and Noah saves Victor Ortega, a figure of influence in the provincial capital, who was also attacked. At the convention Noah wins a bet on an uncut jade stone and Iker is humiliated in front of the room. Iker moves against Noah in business and pushes Melody's father to promise her to his ally Thibault. With Ortega's backing Noah works against the two of them.
