From Dummy to Dynasty

Wesley Stewart is not the simpleton he appears to be. He is pretending, so the person who moved against him will show themselves. His grandmother, worried about who will look after him, puts up a large sum for a suitable wife. The Halls take the bride price and hand over their daughter Emilia. Wesley assumes she came for a reason of her own and watches her. Emilia, who knows nothing about the act, looks after him anyway. Living together wears down his suspicion and something grows between them. When Emilia is in danger Wesley stands in the way of it, and when Wesley is in trouble Emilia speaks up for him. They go after the people who used and humiliated them.
