Synopsis

Claire Reed is the eldest of four daughters in a family branded "cursed" for having no sons. Bullied and forced to drop out to pay for her father's surgery, she sells pancakes by day and studies in secret by night — rising from humiliation to the top of her class, into Tsinghua, and finally into an empire of her own.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
