Extra Credit, Extra Close

Caroline Cole is a high school teacher. Her husband, Theodore, arranged to hand her over to men with money and position, and she came close to it before she ended up in the arms of Ivan, a young man who had inherited a company and ran it coldly. Ivan had been in love with her for years. She taught him in school, and she was the only good thing about those years for him. When Caroline found out what her husband and her closest friend Alice had done together, Ivan pushed into her life and would not leave it. He took on pressure at work, opposition from his own family, and other people in his position who wanted him to stop. Caroline became pregnant. Ivan's stepmother Maria and Alice took her and set out to end the pregnancy. Ivan drove through the gates of the family estate, seized his stepmother's entire fortune and said that anyone who touched Caroline again was dead.
