Synopsis

A three-year-old girl is kidnapped by a couple and taken into their household. They give her a new name and promise her as a bride to their son, and she grows up mistreated there. She takes comfort in one memory from before, the smell of osmanthus cake made with lemongrass. Her birth mother has been looking for her for 20 years. An osmanthus cake made with lemongrass leads the mother to her daughter. The family's son proposes to her. The proposal is a way of getting at money, and that comes to light. Her birth mother is at the wedding.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
