Connor Perry's family had no use for Rachel. She earned nothing, since she gave up her job when she married Connor, and she had given them no son. She cooked, cleaned and raised their daughter Aurora, and it counted for nothing with them. Connor kept Eliza Gray on the side for years and had a boy with her. On New Year's Eve he brought Eliza and the boy into the house, and the family stood with him while he put a divorce agreement in front of Rachel. She signed it and went out with nothing.
