Love on a Timer

Maren Keaton is told she has a year left to live. Her marriage to Lucas Rowe was a contract: in exchange for the ring, she serves as a blood supply for Sanada Mei, Lucas's former girlfriend, who needs transfusions. Four years of it, and what Maren got back for her one-sided love was cold treatment and sex. She hides the diagnosis and asks for a divorce. Lucas, who has looked down on her the whole time, holds her tighter than before and refuses. "We are not divorcing." Then Maren meets a young man, a doctor, and starts to wonder who the person she loved for eighteen years actually is. Lucas cannot let go of her either, and is not sure whether that is possession or something else.
