The Vow That Turned To Dust

To honor the memory of her twin sister—who had died in her place—Alice assumed her sister's identity, sleeping with her brother-in-law, Ashton, in a bid to conceive a child and fulfill her sister's unachieved dream. Devastated upon discovering the truth, her husband, Gavin, signed a non-disclosure agreement and joined the "Ghost Institute," erasing his identity and vanishing completely. Alice, consumed by remorse, exhausted herself searching for him but met with repeated failure. Ultimately, Gavin reunited with Chloe—a woman who had harbored a secret crush on him since their university days—and the two fell in love; Alice was left to witness their wedding in anguish and live out the rest of her days in solitude.
