Villainess Consort: My Puppy Is Actually the Emperor!

Anna Warde reads the story she has landed in and finds she is the villainess, the one written to die early. She decides the sensible thing is to do as little as possible, avoid the scenes that get her killed, and let the plot arrive on schedule. The plot does not cooperate. The emperor, who was supposed to have nothing to do with her beyond disposing of her, keeps turning up, and his interest in her grows into something the script never allowed for. He is also keeping something from her. Whenever he falls asleep he becomes a small dog, which then appears near her with no explanation for how it got in, and Anna, who is trying to be lazy, keeps having to account for a puppy that seems to know too much about what she said when she thought she was alone.
