Wild in His Arms

Rebirth here runs backwards to a fixed point: a person dies and opens their eyes some years earlier, carrying everything they remember. For Livia that point is the days before an arranged engagement to the Galiant family, and what she remembers is her half-sister killing her and her own family handing her over. She breaks the engagement to Victor Galiant straight away. She knows his secrets from the first life and uses them to make him marry her half-sister in her place. The wedding produces a scandal, the Galiants turn cold toward their new daughter-in-law, and with the family group facing collapse the half-sister, her mother and Victor start plotting against Livia together. Because she has already lived through all of it once, she sees the traps forming and collects evidence on them instead of walking into them. She also finds she is being loved by someone in a way she did not plan for and cannot easily get out of.
