Falling for My Father's Inheritor

Caelan courted Denise. She knew she ought to keep her distance from him, and over time she fell for him regardless. He had come to her because of his father's will. Caelan was the only heir of his family, and when his father died the will handed an estate valued at ten billion to Denise, a young woman from another family who was a stranger to him. Denise's mother refused the money and told her daughter to stay away from Caelan's family. Caelan then began turning up in Denise's life. He was attentive and spent freely on her, and step by step he worked toward a marriage that would bring the inheritance back to him. What he had been doing came out at the time of the wedding. Denise, with her heart broken, decided to leave. Caelan, who by then had stopped acting and found himself in love with her, tried to keep her from going.
